State of IL v. “CW”:  CW was charged with Violation of an Order of Protection (720 ILCS 5/12-3.4.)and Harassment (720 ILCS 5/26.5-3) by his ex-girlfriend.  CW allegedly sent her several threatening emails.  The Palatine Police Department arrested CW and the case was heard at the Cook County Third Municipal District – Rolling Meadows Court.  At trial, Mr. Fakhoury cross examined the complaining witness and showed the judge there wasn’t any evidence linking CW to the email. . After hearing the evidence, the Judge found CW NOT GUILTY!

State of IL v. “E.S.”:  E.S. was charged with Domestic Battery by the Chicago Police Department after his ex-girlfriend said E.S. battered her. The case was heard at the Cook County Domestic Violence Court in Chicago, IL and Attorney Matthew Fakhoury took the case to trial. At trial, Mr. Fakhoury cross examined the complaining witness who cracked under pressure and admitted the whole night was a “blur.” After hearing the evidence and several inconsistencies, the Judge found E.S. NOT GUILTY!

State of IL v. “J.O.”:  J.O. was charged with Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass by the Bensonville Police Department after she went to her boyfriend’s house only to find him in bed with another woman. J.O. allegedly left the home and threw a rock at a vehicle parked in the driveway, shattering a window.  The case was heard at DuPage County Court in Wheaton, IL and Attorney Matthew Fakhoury took the case to trial. At trial, Mr. Fakhoury cross examined the boyfriend who cracked under pressure. The Judge found J.O. NOT GUILTY on all charges.

State of IL v. “MN”: MN was driving his car with his fiancé KM in the passenger’s seat. They began to argue and KM began to punch MN in the face and grabbed the steering wheel to cause a crash. MN grabbed his fiancé by the hair to prevent her from attacking him. KM then tried jumping out of the moving vehicle when MN pulled her back into the car. She then kicked the front windshield until it cracked. When the police arrived, MN was immediately arrested for domestic battery and interfering with a report of domestic battery for grabbing KM’s phone. At trial – Attorney Matt Fakhoury successfully asserted self-defense and provided evidence that KM was arrested, charged and found guilty for similar behavior in Wisconsin a few years prior. MN was found NOT GUILTY!

JG’s case was sent to the Rolling Meadows Court House – 2121 E. Euclid Ave. Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. The Judge issued a no-contact order between JG and his girlfriend which prevented JG from seeing his kids on Christmas. State of IL v. “KL”: KL was arrested for domestic battery by the Chicago Police Department after getting into an argument with his ex-girlfriend. KL’s case was sent to the Domestic Violence Court House – 555 W. Harrison St., Chicago, IL 60607.  Attorney Matt Fakhoury took the case to trial and cross examined KL’s ex-girlfriend. Attorney Matt Fakhoury was able to show the court that she was held in contempt of court in a prior proceeding and found to be not credible. KL was found Not Guilty!

State of IL v. “JL”: JL called The Law Offices of Matt Fakhoury and said the police were looking to arrest him for the offense of Domestic Battery.  Attorney Matt Fakhoury spoke to the detective and told him JL would not be answering any of his questions. Mr. Fakhoury arranged the terms of the arrest and scheduled the bond hearing.   JL’s case was assigned to the Circuit Court of Cook County – 3rd Municipal District – 2121 E. Euclid Ave., Rolling Meadows, IL.  However, after speaking to the prosecutor, the case was dismissed without a bond hearing taking place!

Euclid in Rolling Meadow, IL.  After negotiating with the prosecutor, Attorney Matt Fakhoury was able to get the criminal case dismissed.

State of IL v. “KA”: KA was charged with Domestic Battery by the Skokie Police Department after his ex-girlfriend said KA threw a cup of Coke at her causing her to be “soaked”. KA’s case was assigned to the Circuit Court of Cook County – Skokie Courthouse located at 5600 Old Orchard Rd. State of IL v. “EC”:  EC was charged with Domestic Battery by the Schaumburg Police Department. EC’s wife accused him of abusing and injuring her. At trial, Attorney Matt Fakhoury was able to show that EC’s wife lied about her injuries and the alleged abuse. EC was found Not Guilty!
